Previously owned by the Finnish state. Current owner has carried out extensive refurbishment of the vessel's accommodation. The vessel maintains high interior standards. The renovation has been undertaken to prepare the vessel for new owners and potential alternative use. The seller has provided an inspiration document showing possible layout and colour scheme options.

Airisto currently holds Finnish Class notation for the Baltic Sea region, with minimum crew requirement of 5 persons, unattended engine room operation up to 12 hours, and passenger capacity of 11–12 persons.

Main engine Scania DSI14 40 (441 kW), installed 2007 with approximately 18,100 running hours. Cruising speed approximately 9 knots, maximum speed approximately 11 knots. Black water treatment system BioCompact KSA-S-10 with treatment capacity of 2.5 m³/day.

Main deck: office and large open-plan saloon. Two intermediate decks: 12 cabin berths, galley, mess, WC, showers, sauna and storage spaces. Aft deck: Palfinger 2400 hydraulic cargo crane and hydraulic A-frame.
