Pilot 729 SE
Pilot boat prototype, with large comfortable saloon, sold on behalf of the Swedish Maritime Administration. The boat was built in 1996 at Smögen and was designed for two engines, just before the start of construction it was changed to single engine. Around the year 2000, two machines were deployed.
Since 2017, the boat has been part of the Green Pilot project where the boat has been converted to methanol fueled. Now the original Cummins engines are back. However, one of the engines is only mounted, not installed. Only an extra stainless tank for methanol remains from the project.
Previously, the boat had a top speed of about 33 knots.
As can be seen in the pictures, the vessel needs to be restored after the project. It is the responsibility of the buyer to carry out a own inspections and no sea trial is possible before purchase.
Pilot 729 SE can be inspected at the quay at Nya Varvet in Gothenburg, Sweden.
